I saw the Tams August 4 in Monroe and they were wonderful. I grew up in South Carolina listening to the original beach music, not the beach boys, the shagging Ocean Drive music. THANKS for a wonderful show!

The Tams were scheduled to perform in Calabash, NC on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, and unfortunatley the event had to be cancelled due to rain. Rumor has been circulatoing that the Tams will be back in Calabash at the end of the season, however, that is nothing about this on the website. The whole community was looking forward to the next scheduled appearance by the Tams on Tuesday, August 1, today. It was posted on the sign entering Calabash this morning that this event has been cancelled. No rain is scheduled, 0% chance of rain today. Very short notice regarding the cancellation. I called the lead sponsor, Strand Realty, and was told that this was a "logistical problem". Disappointing!

First of all I want to thank every member of the Tams Organization for sharing your music and dance with city of Rocky Mount, NC. My granddaughter enjoyed herself so much she kept saying on the way home "I love you" I want to thank the singer that sang to my granddaughter chick to chick for only an moment so so special. THANK YOU. I want to thank one of the other members that gave my granddaughter a hug. I want to thank all the people that came over and offered assistance if we needed any. I was so surprised that my granddaughter's legs never tired with every song that I danced with her. I know people say music touches your heart and soul but in my case blessing come when you least expect it. May God bless every member of the Tams Organization as you bless others throughout your schedule this year and years to come.

Memories, that is what makes the music sweeter. Then meeting the band after their set,and realizing we knew the same people. Hope they can play at Famers Day in China Grove, can't wait to see them again.

My wife and I went to see the Original Drifters/Tams in Johnson City on Saturday, June 3, with friends from Pittsburgh. While we mostly went to see the Drifters and enjoyed their act, the four of us were blown away by the Tams. I've seen some wonderful performances in my forty-some years of concert-going ... but I don't think I've ever seen a performance by any group that was that energetic. If it's fair to say, my one disappointment with the performance relates to two numbers that the group teased at the hour's end, but didn't perform: "Love Train" and "Shout". If you're not already performing those numbers, you'd do a great kindness to your audiences to add them to your repertoire.

Your an awesome performer and singer. You have always been an inspiration to me from First time I seen you. Your daddy would be proud. Thanks for keeping the traditions and music alive. There needs to be more of you around. Keep having fun and doing that which you love. I'll keep up with you next year 😉

My wife and I listened and shagged to the music of Joe Pope, Charlie, and the rest of the guys at our yacht club in Mt. Pleasant, SC back around 1989. It was a moment in time I will never forget. Joe's wonderful raspy soulful voice is imprinted on the soundtrack of my life. Indeed, The Tams are w/o question the greatest band the southeast has ever heard. Love to hear the songs done now by the latest edition of The Mighty Tams, never let the music die !
